Pivot doors have become increasingly popular for their bold design and versatility. Unlike standard doors, which are hung on a door frame with hinges, pivot doors open and close via a pivot underneath the door. This makes it possible to hang heavier, wider doors without needing to reinforce the frame—in fact, pivot doors don’t even require a frame. They also require less clearance than a swinging door.
